Out of Africa -Plants Of the Slave Trade

I will be giving a program to local Master Gardeners at 6:30 on Tuesday October 11 in the new Plantation Heritage Museum at Cypress Gardens. The program will start with a short walk to the rice field. Master Gardeners will be able to harvest a few stalks to take home. Back at the museum we will look at the exhibits and I will talk about plants of the slave trade, okra, watermelon, eggplant, yams, benne seed, gourds, and rice. Kathy
